Root Vegetables are IN

  1. Ha, I can’t not read that second link in Lynne Rossetto Kasper’s voice.

We were pleased with mashed turnips and potatoes (apparently this is called “nips and tatties”?). Cube, boil, mash w/butter as usual. The potatoes are needed to give the turnips some body; on their own they are kind of watery. Anyway we liked it. We also turned it into pancakes the next day and that was tasty too.
