We’ve been enjoying cooking from Nigel Slater’s Tender: A Cook and His Vegetable Patch. His recipes seem to really parallel the ingredients that we find available now and so, over the last two weeks, we’ve made quite a few. The recipes are all inspiring, but simple enough to put together with a toddler choo choo chooing around your ankles.
Here’s a winter, weekday meal we were grateful to enjoy. Even though we’re in the throes of December, we are still able to source beautiful meals from our neighboring farms. The last day for the Bainbridge Island Farmers’ Market is this Saturday. So, find your favorite book that inspires you and make a shopping list.
